Ren and his friends finally face Adachi. Adachi also wields the power of Persona, and summons his own dark version of Izanagi. After a fierce battle a strange voice begins to speak through Adachi. A creature, shaped like a massive eye appears and reveals itself as the power behind the fog and shadows. Ren and the group have no choice but to fight.
Ren, Kanji, Teddie, and Yosuke are going to spend the night in the abandoned cabin, but are found by the girls. It turns out the "cabin" was just a storage shed behind their lodge. There is an old TV in the shed, and they all get pulled in. Margaret is waiting for them on the other side. She has brought them here to retrieve Marie, who has secluded herself at the center of a mysterious forest inside the TV
Ren and his friends take a trip to a ski resort. They ski all day, and tell ghost stories over dinner. The next day everyone wants to ski with Ren. He elects to have a guys day, and goes with Kanji, Teddie, and Yosuke. Unfortunately a snow storm blows in right as they begin to head back to the resort. Lost, they stumble across an abandoned cabin, and head inside to settle in for the night.
Ren continues spending time with Naoki. Eventually they run into Yosuke, who has his own complex emotions about Saki's passing. Naoki apologizes to Ren for his initial bitterness. Naoki works up the courage to visit where his sisters body was found. Ren accompanies him, and Naoki start to open up to his true feelings.
Margaret calls Ren. She has found Marie. Margaret still needs time to prepare, but she will come for Ren when the time has come to retrieve Marie.
Ren has helped Shu realize that his mother's love isn't conditional on his grades. Shu resolved to forge his own path forward. His bond with Ren has grown, and the Tower Arcana is complete. Ren's tutoring job comes to an end.
Ren and his friends decide to throw a welcome home party for Nanako at Junes. She doesn't remember her kidnapping, but she knows everyone came to save her.
Ren has started an unlikely friendship with Naoki Konishi, the brother of Saki, one of the murder victims. Initially Naoki his ill will toward Ren. It seems that Junes is putting his families liquor store out of business, and he dislikes Yosuke, who is the son of the manager, and Ren by association. As they spend time together he finds he appreciates having someone to talk to who isn't judging the way he helps his family cope with the loss of Saki.
No news about Marie from Margaret yet. Ren continues spending time with his friends. Kanji, Yosuke, and Chie reflect on their friendships, and understand that their relationships with each other are a part of what makes them who they are. Their Persona's all transform, and gain powerful new abilities.
Dojima and Nanako return from their stay in the hospital. They invite Teddie to join them for dinner, who then returns to staying at Yosuke's house.
Ren and his friends have been through a lot together. He meets with Yukiko, Teddie, Rise, and Naoto, one at a time, and their already strong friendships cement into unbreakable bonds. As each friend realizes the strength of their relationship their Persona grow further still, and several powerful new Persona are formed.
Dojima and Nanako are staying in the hospital for a while, leaving Ren home alone. Teddie decides he will stay with Ren while they are gone. Ren falls ill, and passes out. He sees Marie in his dream, she is saying goodbye. Ren is unable to speak, and helpless to stop her. Teddie takes care of Ren for several days while he is recuperating.
Once Ren recovers he receives a call from Margaret. Marie really has gone missing. Margaret promises that she will try to locate Marie, and will let Ren know once she does.
Peace has returned to Inaba, and the winter holidays have arrived. Ren enjoys a simple Christmas Eve with Kanji, Yosuke, and Teddie. Everyone gets together to countdown to the New Year. Yukiko invites Ren to join her at the nearby shrine for a traditional New Year's day of reflection.
The team runs into another boss on Magatsu Mandala World 6. The Envious Giant is resistant to all elemental attacks. By this point Ren an his team hit plenty hard on their own, and can use Persona to cast element-less almighty attacks. Once they defeat the Envious Giant they return to Magatsu Inaba, and open a locked path to Adachi's location.
Ren and everyone continue to work their way through the worlds of Magatsu Mandal. In world 3 they encounter a powerful shadow called Chaos Fuzz. This boss isn't necessarily strong, but it can summon more Chaos Fuzz. Ren and his party overwhelm the Chaos Fuzz, and move on to the lower levels of Magatsu Mandal.
Ren and his friends begin their pursuit of Adachi. They end up in a bizarre recreation of the town called Magatsu Inaba. At the center of Magatsu Inaba is a pit, when the group jumps into it they arrive in a place called Magatsu Mandala. Adachi is taunting them as they go, but they make fast progress.
The fog is causing a rising panic in the people of Inaba. If it isn't stopped soon the entire town may be overcome. Ren works on his friendship with Shu more, then uses the money he earned to upgrade the equipment for the team. This is the final preparation before they make their move and try to apprehend Adachi,
There is no telling what will happen with Adachi inside the TV world, so Ren takes time to prepare. He spends time building his friendships. Kuo has found his way out of his depression, and dedicates himself to be a great big brother. Ren spends more time mentoring Shu, and they start to talk about more than just studies. Shu seems to appreciate having someone to talk to.
Ren goes into the TV world once again, this time by himself. He tries once again to talk some sense into Adachi, but Adachi refuses to change his mind. Instead, Adachi draws his gun and warns Ren that the only way he will be stopped is by force. The talks break down, and Ren leaves until he can return with his friends for the real battle.
Ren and his friends head into the TV world. Teddie finds Adachi, who confesses to everything. He tells them his story, about how he discovered the TV world, and how he killed the first two victims. Adachi tells them he will be waiting for them to come and confront him for the final time.
Ren and his friends set out to canvass the town. They question everyone they can, searching for clues. They gather information and discuss over dinner, but can't quite reach a conclusion. Ren goes outside to collect his thoughts. He talks things over with Yosuke and Naoto, and realizes there is someone who fits all of the criteria...
Naoto leads the group through a review of the evidence. They realize the Namatame wasn't the murderer, and was being used by the true killer. Naoto is able to get everyone access to Namatame, and they question him. He explains that he thought people who appeared on the tv were targets, and that he could protect them by hiding them in the TV world. Once they have heard Namatame's full story the group agrees to investigate further, and search the town for clues to find the true killer once and for all.
The fog still hasn't faded. Kanji realizes that the glasses they use to see clearly in the TV world work on the fog in Inaba. That must mean the TV world is the source of the fog.
Ren receives a call from Adachi. Nanako has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. They all rush to the hospital, but there is nothing they can do. Nanako's vital signs flatline, while Ren holds her hand.
Overcome with grief and rage they storm the room where Namatame is being held. The group is ready to send Namatame to his death right then and there by throwing him into the TV. Ren convinces everyone to stop and think about what they are doing. They realize that things don't quite fit, and that there may be more going on than they realize.
They are met with a doctor who has shocking news. Nanako is alive. Her vitals returned while Ren and company were confronting Namatame, and she is in a coma.
Ren takes a night job as a tutor. It pays well, and raises the Tower Arcana. He is teaching Shu, and younger student at the top of his class.
Marie comes over for a visit. She has realized that her old memeries aren't that important, and instead wants to focus on making new memories with all of her new friends. She gives Ren the old bamboo comb as a keepsake.
