The charming puzzle-platform game originally started out life on the 3DS eShop in 2015. It then received a sequel in 2017 titled and in 2018 the final chapter was released. A physical compilation was also made available in Japan, along with a Qbby amiibo (the main character in the series).
The next entry for the Switch, arrives on 26th April. To help promote this upcoming release, Nintendo has now released a demo for the game on the North American eShop - allowing you to see what this series is like if you haven't played it before.

As the Game Boy prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Nintendo’s beloved series has just reached the 18-year mark of its existence (well, yesterday it did – we're 24 hours late). Sure, it might not be quite as significant, but it's still worth reminding everyone just how much it has grown over the years.
The series first started out in Japan with the 2001 Nintendo 64 title Dōbutsu no Mori (also known as Animal Forest). In the same year, the original game was brought across to the GameCube and then localised for North America as Animal Crossing in 2002 and later on in Europe in 2004.
